Plugin – BP Add Post Updates to Activity

This is a simple plugin which allows the BuddyPress Admin to enable blog post updates to be advertised in the BuddyPress Activity stream. By default, notifications to the Activity stream only happen on new post creation, if the post is then updated later, there is no activity update and your sites users will not be informed of the changes. This can be discouraging to your authors looking to inform site members of changes to published posts. BP Add Post Updates to Activity fixes this.

Plugin Review – BuddyPress Xprofile Member Type and Member Type Generator

BuddyDev have introduced two plugins that could have significant impact on the shape of how we use BuddyPress site memberships and profile information. With the introduction of the BuddyPress Xprofile member type, BuddyDev have created what could be the beginning of a series of plugins to exploit the ability to assign site members their member type.

Buddy Notification bell is a BuddyPress plugin that adds a notification marker onto a page based on a shortcode, whenever the user gets a notification and is viewing a page with the shortcode loaded then the notification bell will sound and they will be able to click on the bell in order to view the notification.
